In this article, I will tell you about all possible travel options, as well as what to see in Lida, and where to stay in this city. Let’s get started. I will try to make this review as short and concise as possible.

How to get to Lida by train and commuter train?

First of all, you need to look at the website of the Belarusian Railway (RW.BY ). There will be current prices and flight schedules. At the moment, the situation is as follows:

  • tickets from Grodno cost from 7 to 20 BYN.
  • And tickets from Minsk are slightly more expensive – from 10 to 35 BYN.

The cost usually depends on the novelty of the trains and the travel time. The cheapest tickets are in ordinary old trains (they are also called “Regional economy class lines”). And most expensive of all are seats in compartment cars and seats in modern Stadlers.

You can buy tickets online – on that on the same site RW.BY (then you will simply be allowed into the carriage with your passport). Or at the ticket offices of the Central Station (near the Lenin Square metro station).

As for the travel time, it all depends on the route of a particular train.

  • Trains from Grodno take from 100 to 180 minutes;
  • From Minsk – from 2.5 to 3 hours.

The trains themselves run all day. Therefore, you can come to Lida both in the morning and in the evening.

Minibuses from Minsk to Lida

I can’t stand them, as every such train becomes a serious test for my vestibular apparatus and my knees. But if you are not 2 meters tall, then this option can also be considered.

Their main advantage is that there are a lot of minibuses. They start every hour. And the flights themselves can be searched from two different operators.:

  • A larger company Atlas (atlasbus.by);
  • and a local carrier named Lida Arrow (minsk-lida.by ).

Atlas special party basses in honor of the Lidbeer 2026 festival.

Prices for both are about the same – from 20 to 22 BYN per trip. But there are also promotional offers. For example, Atlas sells the first (!) tickets on each flight with a discount of 2 rubles. And Lida Strela promises every 9th trip for free.

Travel time is 2.5 hours. Seats in minibuses must be booked in advance. And the flights themselves start from two different points.

  • From the Central Bus Station (near Lenin Square metro station);
  • And from the Yugo-Zapad station (near the Mikhalovo metro station).

As for flights to Lida from Grodno, they are operated by the same company Atlasbus. Ticket prices range from 18 to 20 BYN. Travel time is about an hour and a half. Flights will start from centralthe bus station.

Where to eat in Lida?

The most famous restaurant in the city is called “Lida Beer” and is located on Mickiewicz Street (next to the brewery of the same name). There is a lunch menu from 12 to 16 on weekdays. You can view the detailed menu on social media at @restoran_lidskoe_pivo.

There are also several cozy establishments on the central Sovetskaya Street. For example, I liked the breakfasts at Jinnee coffee shop (@jinnee_lida). And a very cool tavern “Kumpyak” (@kumpyak.by ), decorated in a medieval style.
