In fact, there are not many options here. You can go to the Forest with an excursion, or you can take a bus or a private car. If you are traveling to the national park from Minsk, Grodno or other cities of Belarus, then the first thing you need to do is get to Brest. And from there, take the bus to Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
I will tell you more about all this today. Let’s start with a simple one and move incrementally.
Excursions to Belovezhskaya Pushcha
This is the easiest and most comfortable option for a trip. They come in two types – cheaper group ones (when a whole bus goes with you) and more expensive private ones (when you go to the Forest only with a guide and your company).
Both Brest and Minsk can be chosen as a starting point. Here are a few options as an example:
- Here, a private excursion from Brest (designed for groups of up to 6 people). The cost of the trip is 320 BYN (or 53 BYN per person).
- And here is an option for a group trip from Brest. It costs 55 BYN per person and is better suited for small companies (for example, a couple with a child).
You can go to Belovezhskaya Pushcha with an excursion directly from Minsk. One of these trips can be found here. At the moment, it costs 140 BYN per person. The price includes a transfer, a tour of Brest and Belovezhskaya Pushcha and all entrance tickets according to the program.
It may seem that 140 BYN is a pretty serious amount. But an independent trip will not cost you much cheaper. However, let’s count. Get out your calculators and let’s go!
Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Episode one. Getting to Brest
It all depends on which city of Belarus you are coming from. I would go from Minsk by train, from Grodno by minibus. To view the train schedule and buy tickets in advance, go to the websiterw.by . Well, minibuses are the easiest to search in Google. Just enter the phrase “Grodno – Brest minibus” or “Minsk – Brest minibus” in the search engine and it will immediately show you all the relevant options.

Ticket prices range from 45 to 47 BYN. Travel time is about 4 hours.
Getting to Brest from Minsk is much easier. As I said, the website will help you hererw.by . Choose the right train and hit the road. Depending on the specific flight, the travel time can vary from 3.5 to 5 hours. The cost of tickets can also be different. Most often prices range from 14 to 26 BYN, but if you decide to take a compartment, the fare will be more expensive.
Episode two. We get from Brest to Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
Moving on, I have two pieces of news for you, one good and one bad. The good news is that there are a lot of buses running between Brest and Puscha – 5-7 every day. Therefore, if you wish, you can easily choose the appropriate departure time for yourself.
As for the bad news, the whole problem here comes down to the quality of the buses. They are often quite small, so it may well be that you will drive standing up all the way. Probably, the situation is simpler on weekdays in autumn. But in the summer, on a day off, I was waiting for such a picture.
Travel time is a little less than an hour and a half. The cost of tickets is about 7.5 BYN.

And (of course) they are sold at the ticket offices of the Brest bus station. By the way, he is quite new (located at Ordzhonikidze, 12). Do not confuse it with the former bus station, which is now slowly turning into ruins.
The way back
If you still decide to get to Belovezhskaya Pushcha by bus, then let’s tell you how to catch a return transport. The stop is located between two parking lots – right in front of the entrance to the national park.
The flight schedule is written on the pole (you can take a picture of it before you run into the forest). In May 2024, it looked like this.
Buses: 6:10, 10:00, 12:15, 16:08, 18:00.
Minibuses: 8:10, 14:10, 18:25.
The seats in the cabin are distributed as a result of the assault. But there won’t be many people back. Therefore, it’s already more fun here. You can buy tickets directly from the driver.
How to find a place to live in Belovezhskaya Pushcha?
Belovezhskaya Pushcha is quite large. Therefore, a lot depends on the transport you have at your disposal. If you get to the Forest by bus, then it is better for you to rent a house right next to the gate of the complex (or in the nearest village of Kamenyuki). If you are traveling by car (or with a private tour) and want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Belarusian forests, then look for options somewhere deep in the national park.
For example, I can advise you the complex “Zharkovshchina”, located in the village of the same name. It is located in the heart of the Bialowieza forests. There is unity with nature and complete relaxation. But you will need to get here by car.

There are much more housing offers in Kamenyuki (in the most popular part of Belovezhskaya Pushcha). But they are all located in the village of the same name, and it is still 2 kilometers from the gates of the complex. If you don’t have a car, you will have to constantly walk, rent bicycles or ride the very bus I wrote about above. But here, for quite adequate money, you can choose an excellent option.
Personally, I liked the manor “Belovezhskaya Manor”.

Alternatively, you can also consider these two mini-hotels:
- An estate with an intriguingly tempting name “Village Paradise”.
- And a mini-hotel “Magic of the forest”.
The first option is slightly cheaper. The second one is a little more expensive. Here you can see for yourself which one you like best.
