In this article, I will simply share my experience of traveling to Mir Castle – I will tell you what options exist, what you need to know when going on the road, and how to organize such a trip even without personal transport.

The choice of transport largely depends on two circumstances:
- Do you need a guide?
- And do you want to visit Nesvizh Castle together with Mirsky?
If your answer to both of these questions is “YES”, then go on the road with the tour group. If you do not need a guide and Nesvizh, then you can do with a regular minibus. I will tell you more about both travel options below, and you can already think for yourself which of these is closer to you.
Option #1. Organized guided tours
This is the easiest way to get into the World. You will be met in the center of Minsk, taken to Mir Castle, told about its history and fate, and then fed a delicious lunch of traditional Belarusian dishes. In addition, the tour program includes another popular castle – Nesvizh. Thus, in one day you will be able to see two top attractions of the Republic of Belarus at once.
There are quite a lot of companies that arrange such tours. For example, I can recommend two at once. Here they are:

Their programs are very similar, but prices can fluctuate against the background of different promotions and discounts. Therefore, choose the one that costs less.
Option No.2. Minibuses of private carriers
An option for those who want to save money. All you need is to call a couple of transport companies and find a suitable flight for yourself. At the moment, we have such departures компаний:
- Novobus.by;
- Atlasbus.by.
Tickets cost 14-15 BYN. Travel time is 1 hour 15 minutes.
The minibuses themselves start from the Central Station. However, they can also be caught in other parts of the city (for example, in Malinovka or at the Petrovshchyna metro station). The driver will call you 1-2 hours before departure to confirm your booking. If you do not have a Belarusian phone number, download the Atlasbus application for yourself. You can confirm your trip there by simply pressing a couple of buttons.
What should I do to avoid difficulties?
I’ll tell you briefly:
1. Remember that minibuses to the World can be signed differently. If the sign says “Novogrudok”, “Korelichi” or “Sanatorium Radon”, do not be afraid. You’ve come to the right place.
2. The stop near the Malinovka metro station is located near the Prostore hypermarket. And a stop at the Petrovshchyna metro station can be found near the Kirmash store.
3. In some cases, minibuses can also start from the bus station “Druzhnaya” at the metro station “Vokzalnaya”. This is an outdoor area near the Minsk City Mall. It is very easy to find it. It starts right at the exit of the subway. But it has several important disadvantages. For example, there is no scoreboard and designated platforms. Therefore, flights depart at random. A landmark may be a kiosk with a seal or an electric bus charging station. And personallyI really don’t like it. In reality, you just stand and look around, trying to figure out where your minibus will arrive. I would not recommend this option to tourists. All other things being equal, choose those flights where the Central Bus Station is indicated as the starting point.
Option No.2.5. Minibuses of state-owned companies
They are older, but they leave directly from the Central Station. There is a scoreboard and a kind woman in the “Information” window. Therefore, it is very difficult to get confused.
You can view the schedule and buy tickets on the websiteticketbus.by . The fare is 12 BYN. Travel time is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
What are the disadvantages here? I answer: firstly, there are noticeably fewer of these flights. And secondly, they often have an inconvenient schedule. In addition, the ticketbus website itself was made by blind monkeys in a computer science lesson. It is crooked, oblique and uncomfortable. Therefore, do not expect much from him.
Return flight
It’s much easier with him. In the World, minibuses stop near the St. Nicholas Church, a little to the left of the Ragneda cafe. Roughly speaking, where you will be dropped off, they will pick you up there. There is even free wi-fi in the square next to the park. You can also catch the Internet at the cafe “Road of Castles”. The password MIRKAFEMIR (I hope they haven’t changed it yet). Therefore, you are guaranteed not to be left without a connection. Even if you are a foreigner.
How to find a place to live in the World?
You can go to Mir Castle in one day. Therefore, if you came to Belarus as a tourist, then, first of all, I advise you to look for accommodation in Minsk. The choice of apartments and hotels here is much better. And the prices in the capital are quite adequate. You can find accommodation in Minsk here. As for the village of Mir itself, here I could find only a few housing options available to tourists.
There is a pretty good Mirsky Posad hotel in the city center, located in the historic building of the former synagogue. Rooms cost from 170 BYN per day. You can book a room here.
Another large hotel operates inside the Mir Castle itself. Therefore, if you have always dreamed of living in a medieval fortress, you can pay attention to it. But, as for me, he’s not worth his money. And the interiors of the rooms there are quite controversial. If you want to admire them, take a look at the websitemirzamak.by .
There are quite amazing hotels in the urban village of Mir. They are amazing in that you can book them either through the website of the Korelich district executive committee, or by phone (and even by city).
