I’ve been collecting this list for myself. But it turned out so great that it’s a sin not to share. There will be obvious options, and those directions that you would hardly have thought of before. Today we will figure out where to go on vacation in the fall, and how much such trips can cost. The main thing to remember is that all the figures given in this article are relevant only at the time of publication and may change later. So don’t slow down.
Idea No.1. Alpacas, SPA and Sochi mountains
I repeat, I originally made this list for myself (or rather, for myself, my wife and 4-year-old daughter). And in autumn, for the second year in a row, we go to the same hotel in the Sochi National Park. It’s called Rosa Springs and personally I really like it. There are pleasant rooms, an included SPA, great food and stunning views from all windows.
Free animators work all day for children, and various wellness events are held for adults – from yoga in the mountains to lectures on psychology. And I haven’t said a word about the Sochi National Park itself, with funiculars, waterfalls and cute alpacas on the doorstep. It is a great option for family companies.
How to get to Sochi, I wrote in detail here.
The cost of accommodation: from 9800 to 13,000 rub per standard room. You can view photos of rooms and book accommodation on this page. And don’t forget that you can get an additional discount using various promo codes. A couple of mouse clicks – and now your trip has become 20 euros cheaper.
Idea #2. Cheap (or rather relatively cheap) Bali
And this direction does not need my advertising. Therefore, I will say something else: right now Qatar Airways has a lot of cheap tickets to Denpasar, the main city of the island. Departures from Moscow. Prices start from 68,000 rub (675 €) for a round-trip flight. These are very good numbers for Bali. Flights are operated with transfers in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. You can see all the details here.
Idea #3. Go to Beijing for oriental flavor
A city of skyscrapers, pagodas and panda bears. Five years ago, I was absolutely delighted, walking by the Temple of Heaven, looking at the huge neon signs and the mountains near the Great Wall of China. It is worth coming here for the sake of high-speed trains (capable of accelerating up to 300 km/h) and for the sake of Chinese “hutuns” (houses of the poor, which are now rapidly turning into coffee shops and art galleries); for the sake of block 798 and for the sake of Chinese flavor, which is manifested here literally in everything.
Flights to Beijing are currently operated by China Southern Airlines, as well as S7 and Aeroflot. It is cheaper to fly from Moscow. Prices range from 27 to 33,000 rub (268-320 €) for a round-trip flight. For more information , see here. Belarusians do not need a visa to China.
Idea No. 4. In Abu Dhabi for free entertainment
Another destination with a similar price level for air tickets. The set includes a warm sea, skyscrapers and a Warner Bros park (with Batman and Scooby-Doo). The city itself is expensive, but there are a lot of free attractions here. These are the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the Corniche Beach with its skyscrapers, and the art center on Saadiyat Island. A full list of similar locations can be found on the websitevisitabudhabi.ae .
Cheapest tickets to Abu-Dhabi is currently selling low-cost airline Pobeda (with flights from Moscow). Tickets cost 25-27 000 rub (245-270€). You can find them on the websiteflypobeda.ru . But a good mid-price hotel near the sea. Take a look to understand the prices.
Idea No.5. Almost the same, but cheaper
If it seems to you that the selection turns out to be too expensive, then here is almost the same thing for you, but already in the cheaper emirates of Sharjah and Fujairah. I found some cheap tours in the UAE in November (when it’s still warm by the sea, but you don’t feel like a sausage in a frying pan anymore). The price includes flight, accommodation, insurance and meals (usually breakfast). The price range ranges from 35-40 000 rub per person (in terms of 350-400€). See all the details here. The only drawback remains the same. — you will have to fly from Moscow.
Idea No.6. Escape to Hurghada for the whole autumn
Autumn is a great time to travel to Egypt. It’s not so hot here anymore. But the sea is still warm, and the fish are cheerful and smiling. In addition, for several years now, a friend of mine named Alyona has been living in Hurghada, who is engaged in the selection of apartments. Therefore, almost every year my wife and I talk about going to Egypt for the whole autumn (but so far we have not implemented this plan). The apartments there are very cheap (and a normal two-bedroomyou can easily withdraw for 150-200€ per month). For long trips, this is a good option.
If you are also interested in Egypt, take a look at Alyona’s YouTube channel (@soberirukzak). There are many short videos about life in Hurghada, obtaining Egyptian visas and finding apartments in Egypt.
Idea No.7. In Baku for Formula 1
Photo williamsf1.com .
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is considered one of the most spectacular Formula 1 races and at the same time the most unpredictable. I don’t watch races on a regular basis, but even I have heard news about some incredible number of overtaking on the tracks in Baku and how cool the races look against the background of the old city and the flaming skyscrapers of Azerbaijan. This year, the Russian airline Ural Airlines has even added special flights to Baku just in time for the Formula 1 races. The races will be held from September 12 to 15. Tickets and schedules can be viewed on the websitebakucitycircuit.com .
Idea #8. Go to Japan for the fabulous worlds of Hayao Miyazake
The only disadvantage of the Azerbaijani Grand Prix is its cost. The cheapest ticket costs $1,150. And for about the same price, you can arrange a full-fledged trip to Japan. For example, in Nagoya in the park studio Ghibli (who gave us Totoro, Princess Mononoke, “Howl’s Walking Castle” and “Gone with the Ghosts”). Over the years, Hayao Miyazake has created an absolutely amazing and absolutely magical world unlike anything else. To visit here is my little dream. Moreover, tickets to this park are quite inexpensive (3,500 yen or 25€). However, you need to buy them very much in advance – ticket sales open about a month and a half before the date of the visit itself (on the websiteghibli-park.jp ).
As for the planes to Japan, they now cost around 550€ (for a round-trip flight). See an example of prices here. Belarusians need a visa to Japan, but they can get it in Minsk for free. See all the details on the websiteby.emb-japan.go.jp .
Idea No.9. See the glaciers of Kyrgyzstan
In general, Central Asia is an amazing region (at the same time inexpensive and very interesting). There are floating bridges (in the Ala-Archa National Park), and fantastic views of the Tien Shan Mountains, and the crystal lake Issyk-Kul. And glaciers, canyons, gorges, waterfalls and a special Central Asian flavor.
At the moment, the cheapest flights to Bishkek can be found at Ural Airlines and Aeroflot. A round-trip flight will cost you 26,000 rub/260€ ( here is one example).

And a good mid-price hotel in Bishkek will cost about 70€ per day. Here, take a look, a beautiful three-star hotel with good reviews. I think this is a great option for a trip.
Well, as for excursions to the mountains and national parks of Kyrgyzstan, a lot of good offers can be found here. There are exits to alpine meadows, and the Chunkurchak mountain plateau, and thermal baths in the Issyk-Ata gorge, and the famous glaciers of the Tien Shan. The average cost of such trips is 25-30€ per person. There are a lot of guides and excursions. Therefore, I think you will have something to choose from.
Idea No.10. Goreme, Cappadocia
A land of alien landscapes, bizarre rocks and balloons that soar into the sky at dawn. I was here 6 years ago, but a trip to these places became one of the most exciting for me all the time.
If you also decide to walk among the pink rocks, climb cave towns and take similar photos at dawn – then here are some practical tips for you.
- You can get to Cappadocia from a variety of cities in Turkey (including Istanbul and Antalya). Look for bus tickets on the websiteobilet.com . The fare ranges from € 23-25 (for Istanbul flights) and € 15-18 (for departures from Antalya).
- You can also get to Cappadocia with an organized tour. Excursions from Istanbul are relatively expensive, but there are a lot of good offers from Antalya, Alanya or Side. For example, a tour in Goreme for 55 euros. This price includes travel, accommodation, excursions and meals.
- As for flights, they can be found at different companies – for example, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Sun Express and Anadolu Jet. Prices range from 25 to 50 euros. BUT (!) you will have to fly to neighboring cities – Kayseri or Nevsehir. Goreme National Park is an hour away by minibus from there. You can order a similar transfer here, for 14 euros. Tourists are collected right at the airport, and then one by one they are transported to specific hotels.
- In continuation of the topic, I will show you the hotel where we lived ourselves. It is called Arch Palace and is located right in the center of Goreme. You can check the prices here. The hotel has good rooms, English-speaking staff and a private terrace overlooking the mountains of Cappadocia.
You can read a lot about Goreme National Park and other parts of Turkey in my previous reviews. Well, that’s all for today. Let’s say goodbye. I hope my article helped you decide where to go on vacation in the fall.
