Let’s be honest: you can only eat snow cheaply in Rosa Khutor. In this article, I will tell you about several good establishments, but most of them can be called cheap only with a certain degree of conditionality. In my opinion, the ideal option is to have it in the hotel. Just book a room using the Breakfast-dinner system before your trip. And then you won’t have to worry about food at all.
We stayed here ourselves, and every evening we had dishes from different cuisines of the world (from Georgian to Norwegian) on the buffet. I really liked it there, so I sincerely recommend this hotel to you.
Well, if for some reason this option does not suit you, then read the article further. Let’s do a little review of the various Rosa Khutor establishments here and figure out where you can eat cheap?
Two inexpensive options in Rosa Dolina
There are at least two places near the embankment of the Mzymta River (at an altitude of 560 meters) where you can eat as cheaply as possible. These are:
- the restaurant “Delicious and period”;
- and the culinary department in the Perekrestok store.
The restaurant is located opposite the local town hall, 50 meters from the Olympia cable car station. And the supermarket is a little further away at the address Lavender Embankment, 2.
I don’t even know what else to tell you about them. I’m sure you’re all very familiar with this Twix couple.
Two inexpensive options in the Olympic Village
At an altitude of 1100 meters, there are two other good places where you can eat quite inexpensively. These are:
- Cafe 28 (at Sulimovka, 7);
- And canteen “Casserole” on the Alley of Flags.
The cafe is located at the hotel of the same name, where Buffet breakfasts are served every morning. If you are a guest, breakfast is free. If you live in another hotel, breakfast will cost you 750 rub per person (children under 5 years old eat for free).
Lunches and dinners are sold “by weight”. You select the desired dishes on the distribution line (as in the dining room). And then pay for the specific weight of each plate.
By the way, Hotel 28 is one of the most budget hotels in the Rosa Khutor resort. Therefore, if you strive to save money in everything, you can look through his page with photos and prices.
As for the canteen “Casserole”, it is as simple as potatoes in uniforms. The menu includes pancakes, porridges, omelets, cutlets and a variety of soups. Approximate prices can be found in the photos below.

Food Street
But I want to tell you about this place separately. This is not a specific institution, but a whole mountain food court (or more precisely, a gastronomic space). According to the concept, everything is very similar to our Minsk Concourse. Even the design style is similar in many ways.

There is a “Food Street” in the Olympic Village (at Sulimovka, 6). Climb up the Olympia cable car and immediately see this place. Inside there are many different food corners with pizza, soups, burgers, pan-Asian food and Central Asian dishes. You can read more about them on the websitefood-street.ru .

There will also be a poster of events that are regularly organized at local venues. The big plus is that almost all of them are free. There are concerts, film screenings, assorted lectures, quizzes, performances for children and a lot of other things. In general, it’s a totally cool place. You can come here not only for the food, but also for the cultural program.
Restaurant where children will be fed for free
Well, that’s it… I’ve run out of cheap places. Now I’m going to talk about restaurants that have their own unusual feature. And I’ll start with an establishment called Amsterdam. Here it is in the photo below.
Externally, it is an institution, as an institution (and even far from the cheapest). But he always has quite a lot of different promotions and special offers. It can be a happy hour with a 20 percent discount on the entire menu. Or a free coffee as a gift for the ordered dessert.
But my favorite promotion is free lunches for children. If the cost of parental meals exceeds 2000 rub, your child’s order will be free. Look for details on the websiteamsterdam.rosakhutor.com on the “Shares” tab.
How do I find ? Rosa Dolina, by the embankment of the Mzymta River, literally 200 meters from the town hall building. The establishment is located in the building of the Tulip Inn. This is a pretty nice three-star hotel. Not particularly cheap, but not particularly expensive either. Pay attention to it if you have not yet decided where you will live during the trip.
If you want to eat cheap in Rosa Khutor, then, of course, it is better to catch them with your own hands. If you bite a beaver, the hare will collapse in horror at the sight of such a picture. Well, if the trick doesn’t work, then go to the restaurant called “Dich”. He specializes in such unusual types of meat.

The menu includes steaks from roe deer, cutlets and beaver, cabbage rolls from elk and many other outlandish dishes. All prices are quite high. But there are exceptions. For example, recently, for 1250 rub, you could try a set of three mini burgers (with bear, moose and deer meat) here.

Two cool restaurants in nature
Now I will tell you about two more establishments, each of which is located in some unusual place. The first of them is called “Height 2320” and is located on the top of “Rosa Peak” at the top station of the Caucasian Express cable car. Therefore, if you wanted to have lunch in some unusual location, feel free to go there. You will sit by the window and watch the white clouds swirl around the snow-capped mountain caps.

The arsenal of dishes includes shawarma (570 rub), assorted fish (for 1,250 rub), turkey burgers (for 750 rub), tobacco chicken (for 790 rub), as well as numerous soups, salads and grilled dishes. A detailed menu of the restaurant can be viewed on the website vysota2320.ru .
The second place that I wanted to recommend to you is called “Forest”, and it is located near the park of waterfalls “Mendelikha”. You can get here from the very top of Rosa Peak by the Edelweiss cable car. Go down and you will immediately see this house by the forest and the mountain river.
Inside, the interior of the establishment is quite simple. But the dishes on the menu are relatively inexpensive. In September-October 2023, you could eat a “lunch set” here for 890 rub. It consisted of four items – salad, soup, barbecue and lemonade. Also in the arsenal of the institution there are soups (for 350 rub), apple pies (for 490 rub), cheeseburgers (for 450 rub) and hot dogs on coals (for the same price).

Where to drink delicious coffee in the mountains?
I answer: in the chain coffee shop “Surf Coffee“. There are at least two establishments in Rosa Khutor – one at the bottom (in Rosa Valley); the other is at the top, at the level of the Olympic Village. The addresses are as follows: Kamenka, 1 and Medovea, 6.
Prices (by Minsk standards) are quite high. But we have what we have. You will have to pay 255 rub for Americano. For an average latte – 345 rub. A honey cake or, for example, a custard cake will cost you the same price.
Other establishments worth mentioning
To be honest, I’m already a little tired of writing, so I’ll tell you only briefly about the next three restaurants of the Rosa Khutor resort.
“Che Kharcho” — Caucasian cuisine restaurant with live music (Thursday to Sunday). The menu includes “Grand Chebureks” (for 850 rub), Adjarian khachapuri (for 590 rub), Georgian khinkali (590 rub/5 pcs) and other dishes of a similar kind. See the detailed menu on the website che-harcho.ru .
Grusha Restaurant is a very cozy and atmospheric establishment in the Olympic Village.
The menu includes meat from its own smokehouse and craft beer from its brewery. There is an outdoor terrace with mountain views. There are performances by musicians in the evenings. Sakhalin Restaurant is a fairly expensive, but very cool place that focuses on various seafood dishes.

Kamchatka crabs, Sakhalin shrimps, Khasan oysters and a lot more are on the menu. If you are mentally ready to give 2000–3000 rub for dinner, then you are here. The place is expensive, but cool.
