Secrets of the city and a little magic
The most magical excursion to Grodno. If you’re only in town for a couple of days, I highly recommend you visit it. In fact, this is not even an excursion at all, but a theatrical performance with elements of a quest. You will sneak behind the walls of a medieval monastery and watch a knight’s show, listen to stories about Grodno wizards and immerse yourself in the world of medieval mysteries for a while.
The performance is designed for viewers over 8 years old. But my Peppa pig was also absolutely delighted with the tour. She liked the food in the finale and the “uncle wizard”, who sometimes floated in a cloud of smoke, then scattered golden sparks around himself. Even I got into the whole atmosphere of the fairy tale.

Baba Yaga’s castle, horses and house
Another place that I recommend you to visit is the Korobchitsy country complex. Technically, this is no longer Grodno, but it’s very easy to get here (even if you don’t have a car). All you need to do is go to the bus station and catch any bus heading towards the Polish border (for example, No. 252C, No. 283C, No. 285C or others). The flight schedule can be viewed on the website.ticketbus.by . Half an hour on the way, and you’re there.
Korobchitsy itself is a fairly large complex with a stable, a castle, a living maze, a blacksmith shop, a pirate ship and the Lukomorye arboretum. If you want, feed the horses with your hands, if you want, play laser tag in the “guerrilla camp”.
There is also a rope park for older children. For kids there is Baba Yaga’s hut and a mini zoo with different animals.
In general, the place is great. Only the prices in the local canteen are very high. Therefore, get ready for the fact that banal potatoes with sausage and ketchup will cost like a brunch in a good Grodno restaurant.

Aquapark
There is also a water park near Grodno, but you will also have to drive a little for it. He is located in the sanatorium “Ozerny”, in the agro-town of Ozery. You can get here in half an hour by commuter bus. See the schedule on the website ticketbus.by . Flights run every half hour. The fare is 3.3 BYN.

As for the water park itself, it’s pretty average. There are 3 water slides, a Jacuzzi, a sauna gallery, several variations of a rain shower and a snow room. The cost of the visit is calculated per minute, depending on which part of the complex you are in.

Grodno Zoos
If you don’t want to leave the city at all, then you can have an interesting time with your child at the Grodno zoo. In terms of walking with children, it’s just an imperishable classic. Of course, there is such a fashionable thing in Grodno as a petting zoo. Here you can pet a hedgehog, feed a goat and meet a raccoon (from Guardians of the Galaxy). For more information, see the zooland website.by. Ticket price 20 BYN/15 BYN.
Puppet theater (and werewolf bears)
…Of course, you can think for yourself, but it seems to me that this petting zoo is not worth the money. I should have written about him, but personally, I’d rather spend 20 BYN going to a puppet theater. Firstly, it is one of the oldest theater venues in the country. And secondly, there is a great poster here, where there are both children’s performances and adult productions (about Gogol’s spirits and werewolf bears). In many performances, dolls play together with live actors – and this creates a special atmosphere on stage. It’s like watching the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” again.

Children’s centers and tons of toys
I wrote about the puppet theater and suddenly caught myself thinking that this article is not particularly childish. It’s like I’m writing about how not to get bored yourself while you’re spending time with your child. So let’s get better. Here are the addresses of two of the coolest children’s centers in Grodno, which I have visited with my daughter. Both of them are very nice and modern.
